Older scouts (First Class, Life, Star, Eagle - we are doing this for you. Are you interested? We have reserved two trips (i.e. we will be split into two groups one of 7 and the other of 11). Those who registered with Mr. Anderson have "first dibs" on these slots. This should be a great trip.
This is who is registered: (white - Massawepie treck / yellow - high peaks treck)
We have space for 2 more - contact Mr. Anderson if you are interested.
We need commitments. Fee $285 for camp before due date of 5/29 - by meeting of 5/9 would be ideal. Camper ships are available through the troop from Mr. Anderson or Mr. Maniskas. Cost of Getting there and back? Parents: All scouts and leaders need a new class III form filled out by a doctor. In addition there is a medical form for what prescription and nonprescription meds that your scout can be given (NY State law) and camp permission slip (not to mention the troop 12 permission slip).
In addition you MUST pass a BSA swim test. It is better if we do it here as it will be harder there. We must get in shape. You will need a back pack/sleeping bag/ ground roll and clothes. Full list to follow. You MUST pass a BSA canoe test. We will need to practice. We will do a shake down weekend campout (one night) before we leave.
There is a lot to do - lets get cracking!
