Summer Trip to NY 2005

The Adirondack Adventure

In the Summer of 2005 15 scouts and leaders piled into a 15 passenger van from Dolen's auto rental (thanks Art) after stowing their gear in a trailer from troop 62 (thanks Jeff) and headed to upstate New York to Camp Massawiepie's Adirondack Adventure. The two day trip was high lighted by an over night stay in a camp ground outside of  Niagra Falls NY (four mile state park - with visits to the falls and the aquarium) and an hour long stop at the Bass Pro Shop (where we dreamed dreams of the fish we would catch). The splendor of the falls at night - the rushing of the water - the mist - awesome. The beauty of a new day at our Park with a view of a great lake - with Canada in the distance. These were the auspicious beginnings of what was to be a memorable trip. Crammed tightly in the van we endured each others elbows and enjoyed each others company on the 15 hour long drive. But words fail me - so let the pictures speak.
