On the weekend of 2/28-29/04, BSA Troop 12 went on a ski trip!
We (14 scouts and 3
leaders) arrived at Camp Stub Toe in the late afternoon where we met the camp
owner Mr. Smith and Started setting up shop. After setting up the tents and the
trailer, the scouts collected wood for the fire, and then
commenced a snowball fight. While this was going on Mr. Roa fixed us dinner
while Mr. Lavalley Searched for the meat balls. I played around setting up the
telescope. After dinner the leaders tended to the dishes while the scouts tended
to the camp fire.
And tend they did; while I
fiddled with the telescope which
put out images like this.
Some scouts preferred whittling to star gazing or
fire tending.
For some of us , it was a cold
night, but we warmed up in the cabin in the morning. Then before we left to ski
we posed by the cabin.
our host
But we'd come to
ski. So Off we went. We were going to ski even if we had to climb the snow
drifts in order to get there.
Some took Ski lessons
While others tried snow boarding
Radical but hard! But we'd come to ski!
And Ski we did!
