It was clear for a bit so I imaged Saturn with the C14 in the Donald C. Martin Observatory at prime focus with the Phillips ToUcam. Images were from AVI runs of 600 frames, REGISTAX 2 stacked 130-188 of these. Wavelets were applied to "sharpen up" the image. The first two are stacked only. The next four were processed to bring out detail on the planet's surface. Seeing was poor.

Mars was small and it was hard to focus.

I switched to the Stellacam II and tried for the PN NGC 2371 (Gemini Nebula) in Gemini but I had only begun to image this before the clouds rolled in. Gain was 50%, gamma lo, frames were set at 256 (8.5 seconds). The C14 was used with the f3 focal reducer. No filtration. Runs of 30 frames were performed with dark frame subtraction. Images were added on the fly in Astrovideo.

30x8.5 second frames, processed with GIMP (levels)

60x8.5 second frames, processed in FitsX

x8.5 second frames, processed in FitsX, I tried to bring out the outer shell of the nebula (above and below the lobes) by playing with the contrast

120x8.5 second frames, processed in FitsX

Clouds ended the evening at 9PM. Temp was 27 degrees f.
